The Golden Globes

Silent Film The Artist has received 6 nominations in the categories of Picture – Musical or Comedy, Director, Actor in a Musical or Comedy, Supporting Actress, Screenplay and Best Score.

George Clooney received nominations for his two films The Descendants and The Ides Of March, the latter which he also directed. Other films collecting numerous nominations include The Help with 5 and My Week With Marilyn with 3.

The strong contenders for the Actor in a Drama award will go to one of:

London Film Critics’ Nominations

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Drive lead the nominations as the 32nd London Film Critics were announced.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is up for ; Film of the Year, British Film of the Year, Screenwriter of the Year, Actor of the Year, British Actor of the Year and Technical Achievement, whilst Drive is nominated for Film of the Year, Director of the Year, Actor of the Year, Supporting Actor of the Year, British Actress of the Year and Technical Achievement.

Asghar Farhadi’s A Separation and Lynne Ramsay’s We Need To Talk About Kevineach received 5 nominations whilst Michel Hazanavicius’ The Artist and Steve McQueen’s Shame received 4 a piece.
